The closest certified TW instructor is in Vero Beach, his name is Bill Mattucci and I have a small training group in Hollywood. There are a few concept places in Miami. The closest place to you is One Dragon which is off of Taft and Douglas, they are a Straight Blast Gym affiliate. The Chief Instructor at One Dragon is Luis Gutierrez who is a very nice gentleman and if I remember correctly he is under Dan Inosanto.

Thanks.
I saw one school in Miami (umaa) and one in coral springs. They are both concepts schools. Although as a beginner I am not too caught up in the different philosophies of JKD (at this point, since I just want to learn and get good instruction. Perhaps later I will understand the difference/benefit of one or the other), but I am looking for a school or someone closer to me that has the right training environment and with adults.
That one in Hollywood sounds like it might be closest. Is Mr. Gutierrez a fully certified instructor? I will check it out.
Straight Blast affiliate? I will look it up on the internet.
I am a beginner (adult) and I am looking for school/instructor/group that has adult classes that are not mixed with children. I really want to learn JKD and I am looking for someone that can offer instruction that really is focused on helping me work on my technique etc... It seems that so many schools are commercialized (I know people need to make some money and run a business) but I am somewhat disappointed that so many schools seem so money driven that the instruction seems secondary. I don't know if I make sense but it is frustrating because there doesn't seem to be any serious schools for training, at least in the area I have an interest. I know I am a beginner/novice to MA but I also know the benefits of good instruction and having the right atmosphere to train in.
Sorry started to ramble there. Well, thanks for anymore info you can provide.

That would be Pembroke Pines. I do not remember of Mr. Gutierrez is certified under Dan Inosanto, we spoke about it once on passing. I understand what you mean and hope that you find the type of instruction that you are looking for. If I may be of assistance in the future you can email me here originaljkd@yahoo.com good luck.

out of curiousity, is your group all already experienced people in JKD? Also, do you have a school or is it more of a meet up group. Thanks.
Thanks for the info you have provided already.

I train a handful of people in a small gym at my home. They range from less then a year of experience to more than 15 years; we are more like a family…check your message above.
