At first i must admit i never knew there were two schools of though in regards to JKD. Looking through much i have read and seen it appears me that the notion of concepts of fusing Martial Arts together with JKD imho it is bizzare let alone fusing it with something else would blur the lines between JKD and any Martial Art a person desire.
Case in point myself in general i admit i wanted to crosstrain in JKD and Judo let alone Wing Chun but looking through much of his work and compare and contrast it with other Martial Arts. I sincerly beleive now that JKD should be pure and simple no more no less. Mixing it with other arts will delute it.
Jeet Kune Do Concepts is nothing more then JKD in name only,Concept is nothing more then a mesh-mash of arts from other cultures. If you ask me JKD should be trained excluding from other arts. If train i Judo i will keep it seperate from JKD if i train there.

what difference does it make to train something separately? Except you are paying more and having to go somewhere else for it. With an instructor who has less of an idea of how to adjust your needs based on the other arts you wish to practice. JKD itself is a fusion. A compound alloy not necessarily a mix. Its not your fault though! Even Concepts practitioners are missunderstood about the idea of concepts.
