A farm will not only yeild many different things! you can choose amongst those the things that cater best for your different daily needs. The letter to Jerry Poteet must have been written when bruce was seeing what he did as a style! Every one should know that thanks to his philosophical influences he grew out of that! If we don't believe in styles? Then why differentiate between them so much by classing them as x & y? Do not concentrate on that finger or you will miss all that heavenly glory!

Some may view BL’s JKD as he evolved during his later years even as a style, some don’t and see it as freedom. It was not classical to say the least. But, I believe the premise of the XandY letter is that Mr. Poteet was asking to bring in another style’s training method. That is not JKD
